about
I’ve never been very good at releasing my music to the world, but this year that changes. My first offering to you is Pretty Little Head. This song is for you, for me, for all of us finding ourselves or someone we love in that murky territory between stability and volatility. I say this all of the time, because it truly can’t be said enough: all may not in fact be fine with your loved ones underneath the pristine surface. Depression is a deceptive parasite, infectious like a catchy beat, and before you know it, you’re dancing away with yourself without really taking a moment to ask if everything is ok. Am I ok? Are you ok? Is she he they ok? It is our DUTY to check in and help. Remember, it is so hard to ask for help when you’re down in the thick of it yourself. We can all help prevent suicide. If you are someone you know is struggling with depression and suicidal tendencies, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK.
Who really knows what’s going on inside that pretty little head of yours? It would mean the world to me if you took a listen, shared the song, and most importantly, reached out to your loved ones to say Happy New Year.
lyrics
Keep sleep in mind
She told me yesterday that she was fine
But the crack and a quiver lied
Facade detected major
Stay with me girl
I know inside it all unfurls
Between the little fibs and the silly jokes
Your silent cry is deafening
I feel the ocean
I feel afraid
Of what is undulating inside of her brain
Maybe we ought to get ahold of help
Don't feel pressured to explain girl
Things are not always as they seem
Cosmic shifting makes the days blur
Over and over and over
You know what I mean?
Don't feel pressured to explain girl
Things are not always as they seem
Cosmic shifting makes the days blur
Over and over and over
You know what I mean.
She says, she says she's ok
Do you believe her?
Don't you think you better reach her?
She says, she says nevermind
Don't go worrying your pretty little head
I'll tell you once, I'll tell you twice,
I'll tell you three times baby that I'm
That I'm fine
